On Saturday 10th November, the Humberside Police Federation held their annual fund raising Charity Ball. All the proceeds from this years Ball were kindly donated to Lilys Fund.

Over 140 guests enjoyed a splendid meal, with entertainment provided by the wonderful Johnny Pat and the Aces. A wide variety of games and a raffle made the night complete. A massive thank you to the staff at the Police Federation for organising such a wonderful night and for raising a tremendous donation of £3500, which will go a long way in helping those that need it most.

With much sadness we recently received a donation in memory of Stephen Weightman who sadly lost his life after a short illness. A much loved Dad to Tom and Ellie, husband of Sharon, sister of Julie and son of Bill and Shirley, we all knew him.

He worked tirelessly for the good of the village on the local Parish Council and will be much missed. In their time of sadness though, the family thought of others and made a generous donation to the Lily Fund in lieu of flowers at Stephens funeral. A very generous gesture and kindly received.
