When Craig recently left school, he really missed the bike provided by the school, Lilys Fund stepped in and funded a brand new cycle for him.

Young carers are often overlooked but we were recently able to treat a young lady from East Yorkshire. Thanks to Lily's Fund, her hard work looking after the rest of the family was rewarded, with an extra special Christmas present. |

The Smile Train is a very worthy cause providing reconstructive surgery for young children with cleft palates. We were only to happy to support them with a grant.

We always like to help Dove House Hospice and we again donated a generous amount to their light up a life campaign.

Frederick Holmes School in Hull needed help to fund a communications day bringing together children from similar schools. Lily's Fund stepped in and helped with the costs and a great day was had by all. |

We provided a grant to help a local girl with the purchase of an electric wheelchair so she can continue her studies at university. Without which she would not have been able to continue with her education. |

We recently donated a substancial amount to St Martins House Hospice in Leeds. A hospice specifically for children with life-limiting diseases. |

Isaac was over the moon when we provided him with a state of the art Cyclone wheelchair with tracker. He can now enjoy a bike ride with the family and play his favourite sport basketball. We hope it brings you many happy days Isaac. |

When we heard about a local 16 year old girl called Ellie struggling to keep in touch with her friends because of her debilitating disease, Lily's Fund helped out with an iphone so she could use the voice recognition to keep in touch. |

Helping a local family in any way we could, we were able to provide a grant to help them with their 3 year old child, newly diagnosed with a brain tumour. |

All a local lad wanted for Christmas was a new bike, but it's hard when you have had to give up work to look after your child with a brain tumour. It was our pleasure to help out and supply a nice shiny new bike for Christmas morning. |

Having grown out of his specialised bike, young Matthew needed a new cycle built specifically for children with special needs. We stepped in and helped out with a grant enabling him to carry on enjoying his family cycle trips. |

A poorly seven year little girl with a brain tumour was obviously a tug at our heart strings. Every trip into the town she has to go into the Silvercross pram shop to see her favourite red polka dot dolls pram. Her family wanted to get her it as an early Christmas present as she will be having grueling chemotherapy over the Christmas period. We said that it would be our treat but very generously when arranging the purchase, the Silvercross shop in conjunction with Silvercross Heritage, kindly offered to donate it. A big thank you to them.

As a regular supporter of Wish Upon a Star, having had a lovely trip to Lapland with them when Lily was ill, we donated £1000 to their plight to raise money for the trip to go ahead this year.

When local lad Matt found himself spending more and more time away from his University studies undergoing treatment for Ewings Sarcoma, Lily's Fund stepped in and funded a laptop so he could continue with his studies.

When Emily Ibbotson, who was recently diagnosed with 17q21.31 microdeletion Syndrome, out grew her buggy and got a posh new one, she needed the necessary accessories to make her comfortable and warm and dry in the winter. Lily's Fund was only too glad to help out.

When Chelsea's caring Aunty Michelle contacted us by mistake, thinking we were a different charity, we were only too happy to help. Three year old Chelsea was suffering from a Neuroblastoma and had many bad days. We sent Disney Vouchers for a Princess shopping trip to cheer her up. Sadly her cousin was diagnosed with the same cancer. Tragically Chelsea lost her fight for life 9th August 2009.

Lilys Fund are delighted to announce that we have provided funding to Echoes Foundation to equip a specialist room for Tac Pac (a revolutionary activity pack that combines touch and music to promote communication and social interaction, sensory, neurological and emotional development). The first purpose built Tac Pac facilty in the country.

When a young 8 year old girl Aisha from Hull needed a special bed to help her cope with a reflux problem, Lilys Fund swung into action and provided one. |

A young local lady Jessica needed cheering up after fighting a long battle with illness which is ongoing. We were only too happy to send her some vouchers for a high street store for some much needed retail therapy ! We also helped the family enjoy a bit of fun and days out. |

When local charity Echoes Foundation needed help setting up their office, we helped where we could.

A local charity Sunflower Music which uses the medium of music to help children and siblings with life limiting diseases. We funded a session that included DVD production. |

The local village church, St Marys, has also benefited from Lilys Fund, we were able to make a donation towards a new notice board for the community. |

Computers are all the rage and helping a local boy carry on his learning progress at home, carrying on the good work of his special school, we were able to help with computer equipment. |
